I want to put this online, to hold myself accountable. I want to document the noise in my head. I'm tired of thinking about drinking. date of last drink: june 30, 2012
My sober date is May 18 so I am at a little over 30 days.
For all of you not on day 100 or even half way there, DON’T GIVE UP!! It does get so much easier. I having been thinking the past week or so how “for some reason” I seem more aware of what is going on around me now. Then it hits me, I was drinking for the past 3 years! No wonder I wasn’t aware of my surroundings. Life gets so much clearer. Things just get better!
I’ve followed-and attempted to “get”–your stance on quitting drinking for nearly a year. I even paid for a “relapse” call once. I think what you are attempting is admirable but you neglect the fact that some people trying to give up booze have problems related to intense childhood abuse and trauma. You don’t have much to offer to folks like me because you haven’t lived our hell. I admire your tenacity, but in some ways, you are clueless–and unhelpful. I’m not reading your ” thingyy”‘s anymore.
Your blog has gotten me through the first 2hours and 27 minutes of “wine time” on my first day of quitting. Read all of month one and two! I’ve thought Alcohol was my friend for so long, but I just started seeing it for the, bitchy girl that smiles to your face then turns around and tells everyone else how horrible you are, kind of friend. I don’t need that kind of friend, I need friends like you! So here goes everything!! Day 1 Oh wait, 2 hours and 34 minutes! Will I ever stop counting?
Wow ThIs is an impressive long list of people celebrating. Congratulations to everyone on your fabulous achievement Lots of little treats coming up,here.

Belle never claims to be everything for everybody. For some of us she is just what we need. I hope you find just what and who you need. Namath ~
