Audio: I’m right and you’re wrong

i have an audio podcast subscription thingy, and I’ve just recorded #41…

“I deserve a drink for dealing with this shit.” Wolfie says that. He can also whip us into a frenzy to try to justify drinking … But once you see a wolfie-whipping-windstorm on the horizon, you won’t be fooled. You’ll know it’s wolfie.

And you’ll find it easier to drop the ‘I’m right and you’re wrong’ thinking too …

[This podcast has magical powers, apparently! I should listen to it again myself.]

OK, so the extract is about 2.5 minutes long (the full audio is 11.5 minutes). This clip begins at the start. Click below to listen:

I want to put this online, to hold myself accountable. I want to document the noise in my head. I'm tired of thinking about drinking. date of last drink: june 30, 2012

  • Spot on! I was in this exact place yesterday (the day you posted this): ““I deserve a drink for dealing with this shit.” (Repeated challenges on new job; I was questioning if “red flags” to run, or “lessons” from the Universe on how to deal with life without hiding under alcohol). You’re 1000% percent correct, Belle, “Wolfie says that”. And, I DID NOT drink!!!! Knowing you, and every other courageous person following along with you and the 100-day challenge, are here is helping me grow stronger in ignoring Wolfie’s cry; he can cry all he wants–ow-oooo!–but I’m not falling for his cunning, wily tricks and games anymore. Now, I feel strong enough as I enter my second week, to say “Get the FLIP out of my head, Wolfie. You are no longer welcome here”.
