Audio: How to Have a Sober Christmas

i have an audio podcast subscription thingy, and this is one of the audios.

So how do you arrange to have a nice, sober Christmas, holiday season? It’s about what you do, and what you don’t do. It’s about where you go and where you don’t go. And it’s about letting go of some of that wacky control shit.

Belle

I want to put this online, to hold myself accountable. I want to document the noise in my head. I'm tired of thinking about drinking. date of last drink: june 30, 2012

  • I was so relieved the first time I listened to one of your podcasts and that your voice was such a pleasant one. I have been known to click STOP within seconds because of the speakers voice sounding too “forced”. I can hear the sincerity in your voice when you speak and I am sure all of your other listeners can too. Keep ’em coming!

  • Hi Belle, Loved your audio today. I already feel that my holidays are so much “lighter” without the thoughts of drinking. That alone took up so much time! How many bottles, shopping for bottles, chilling the bottles, choosing the stemware, opening, pouring, drinking, drinking, drinking, hoping I bought enough, worrying that I didn’t buy enough, on and on and on it goes. So much time. This will be my first sober Christmas (just celebrated first sober Thanksgiving!). It already feels less stressful than any other. Thanks for all of your encouragement this year. I am 6 days away from reaching 180. Yeah me!
