Photos: Toothbrush Portrait

Thanks to every single person who posted or send me an email about yesterday’s audio.  i still swarm with six thousand wasps inside my guts when I think of posting my voice online. And then — for all of my angst — I’m rewarded with a fucking shitload of very kind and sweet emails. It’s like there’s a direct relationship between my angst, and how amazingly kind you are afterwards 🙂

SoberJessie: Belle, hearing your voice has just made this journey that much more real and meaningful, and a lot less lonely.

Dale: Thxs for this – and your many marvelous thoughtful efforts Belle! I’m so happy to report to you that I’m still not drinking and that this sustained experience continues to inform and unfold in ways that help me in going forward step-by-step.

Assignment #9: Toothbrush Portrait (here are the photos!)

The project this time was to take a picture (or draw or paint) a portrait of toothpaste, toothbrushes, and something made of glass.

Thanks to everyone who sent in pictures, this post is now closed to new submissions.

If you want to join in for the next assignment, stay tuned.

Belle

I want to put this online, to hold myself accountable. I want to document the noise in my head. I'm tired of thinking about drinking. date of last drink: june 30, 2012

  • Hmmmm. I kind of hate to be the one to jump up and down and point this out, but gees…Belle, you are an undiscovered jewel with your sobriety ideas and free worldwide cheerleading and photography distractions on top of it all. Part of me hopes a popular magazine will discover all the good you are doing (e.g., People magazine’s Nov. 2009 article titled “Moms Who Drink” that really opened my eyes to what my heart was quietly saying)…but…a part of me hopes you’ll remain a secret to all of us fortunate souls who have stumbled upon you. Thank you for all you do, Belle, and God bless!

    • : ) you’re very sweet Kay. If I haven’t been ‘found’, then it’s because it’s not the right time yet… I’m just doing my thing and I’m not too worried about being ‘discovered’. and hey, I like the idea of free worldwide cheerleading, I’d like to sign up for some of that!
