Audio: Drifting

This is audio #101 for my weekly sober podcast thingy.

What should we do when we feel like we might be drifting from our sober supports?

If you drift from your sober supports, wolfie can come back. The voice in your head gets louder. And the voice starts to say things like “I could probably have one drink, you probably don’t have to do this any more.”

This audio runs for about 17 minutes, and here’s an extract. It’s about 3 minutes long.

Please leave a comment after you listen to the extract … so that i know you’re out there.

I want to put this online, to hold myself accountable. I want to document the noise in my head. I’m tired of thinking about drinking. date of last drink: june 30, 2012

  1. Absolutely right. I’m coming up on a year and when we were on vacation, had little chance to do my sober activities. There were a few dangerous thoughts, especially when I saw the … flavored vodka. New challenges always seem to present themselves and we must be on guard.
