Audio: Ellie Schoenberger (part 1)

I am SO excited to share this with you. I just got off the phone with Ellie Shoenberger. yes, it’s true. I interviewed her for my weekly sober podcast thingy.

you know Ellie, right? She’s big in the sobriety world. She’s one of the founders of The Bubble Hour and the website Crying Out Now. She’s recently had a relapse and has joined me today to talk about her life now that she’s 7.5 months sober (hooray).

Oh my god, we talk about everything … rehab, medication, ego, anonymity, feeling unworthy and even Oprah gets mentioned once or twice over the course of the hour.

Since the entire conversation runs long, I’ve divided it up into pieces. Here’s an extract from part 1, it’s 3 minutes long.

Please leave a comment after you listen to the extract … so that i know you’re out there.

  1. I’m going to subscribe to definitely listen to this. I have followed Ellie’s journey and I’m really interested to hear her words. I read you every day and have one of your Stay Here bracelets. I’m also on your email list.

  2. OMG~ im listening and you ask Ellie~ do you think sobriety is better and dead silence…. I think, OMG Ellie what’s wrong, why won’t you answer Belle… and then I realize it was the end of the tape and will be continued! Jeez Belle ya scared me! Can’t wait to listen to the rest~ loved it so far! Love the interviews!

  3. I’m listening ! I did not know who Ellie was until reading your post and look forward to this interview. Thanks !

  4. Hey Momma, you made me laugh 🙂 I did the same thing. The audio finished just as I was waiting for Ellie to reply. I replayed it twice thinking that I hadn’t downloaded it properly. So now I’ll have to wait for the next episode! I wonder what she’ll say ??

I didn’t know Ellie either Crystal but I’m looking forward to getting to know her now.

  5. Thanks Belle, thanks Ellie, you don’t know this but you have both saved my life in so many ways, 8 months ago I was very sick and Wolfie would not leave me alone, I was desperate and could not bare the thought of a recovery meeting and you have both carried me through until was strong enough to walk. I found the bubble hour and Belle at the same time and am not sure if I would be here now without this. I am beyond grateful for you’re service❤️❤️❤️
